You can sell time.

If you break it up.

Demarcate it.

Make it a discrete block.

Package it up.

Name it.

Separate it from other moments in time.

But then it’s no longer what it was.

A single moment, stretched out into both directions in infinity.

With no second.

Instead, it’s been stripped of its unchanged magic into something ostensibly understandable.

Something that can be remembered.

Shared.

Captured.

Controlled.

And with it goes the power of nature as a single, unmoving, unchanging, infinite phenomenon of which you are an incredibly central force.

The choice is whether to live dissected.

With the havoc that wreaks.

Or whole.
