About
I've deliberately maintained some anonymity here, in order to focus on the message.
But if it's useful, my background is varied. I've worked in business, built and sold them. Worked with the UN and the Dalai Lama's office. Been a criminal Barrister. Travelled and seen the world, from war zones to more tranquil surroundings. I've benefited from conventional success. Been feature widely in the press, spoken alongside industry luminaries and Royalty. Won awards, scholarships and all the rest of it. And then failed over and over again too. None of it has altered my fundamental views.
I've spent most of my time exploring a range of philosophies and traditions, looking for something that resonated deeper.
Most paths led me to the same collection of conclusions. That conventional society is setup for it's own ends. Not out of malice or oppression, but because the fuel the system needs to thrive makes fodder out of everyone. Searching for a path that was different, repeatedly led me to a repeated set of similar, but not final, conclusions; that no matter which tradition I explored, ultimately, the journey was solo. But it wasn't alone. Nor was it, nor need it be, lonely.
I didn't arrive at a singular conclusion, more an open space. And I didn't find that space easily accessible.
This collection is an exploration of that understanding, and I invite you to come along for the stroll.
