Satiated Desires

Published on April 3, 2025 in General

Society provides a promise to fulfil desire. And the problem with that is as soon as that desire is completed, another one is served up.

That endless chase is meant to feel good, with an endless high and a corresponding low. It’s an easy game to get trapped in. It’s an even easier game to get trapped in when society makes it its core purpose to ensure that cycle perpetuates forever.

But for you. For a life. It offers nothing. The opposite of desire in this context isn’t the absence of desire. It’s the seeking of something that satiates endlessly. That doesn’t fulfil only to empty.

It’s the search, and the struggle, for something that fulfils. Endlessly. And that starts somewhere else.

Somewhere not given or fed, but somewhere received.
