Freedom and judgement
Buried deep in our judgement of others are unwritten rules of how to be. How to behave. And how to think. Much more oppressive than the boundaries and guardrails of the world because they’ve been internalised. A prison of your own making with bars both of steel and sand.
The harsh judgement of others becomes a torchlight on the views that you’ve absorbed over time that have come to rule your thinking. Ultimately to control you.
But what if buried under them was something else. Someone else. Softer. Less judgmental and more open. Someone whose judgement was based on a tolerance and forgiveness of the complexities and challenges of a life.
Maybe the hard exterior operates as a powerful conforming shell. But maybe it’s not needed. Maybe it seals rather than protects.
Shed the judgement soaked in the influences of forces outside of yourself. And bask in the freedom of your softness.
Your openness.
